To fully capture the use of schema.org for videos, we should know the restriction elements. In this way we can maximize its usage and feel its effectiveness.
After talking last week about Schema.org video mark up, here is another supplement that can enhance our learning about the introduction of schema.org for videos. According to Henry Zhang there are Video platform restrictions and video country restrictions. And let’s talk first about Video platform restrictions.
Video platform can actually be seen on video sitemaps. These platforms include computer, mobile, and TV browsers. There is no need to put video restriction tag if your video doesn’t have any platform restrictions like using mRSS feeds which has no restriction for platforms.
And this is how you can do it on video sitemaps:
1. Simply write this tag where in if you are allowing it you can simply put relationship=”allow” or to deny a specific platform simply put this on relationship=”deny”. And take note that only 1 tag is allowed for your video. If you are using relationship=”allow”, video appearing only on specified platform by using the platform codes while relationship=”deny” the video will appear on all browsers except on the specified platform. GoogleSEO
Example: relationship=”allow”
<video:platform relationship=”allow”>web</video platform>
The Video will appear only on web or computer browsers and if you don’t specify any devices, take note your video will not appear.
Example: relationship=”deny”
<video:platform relationship=”deny”>web</video platform>
The video will appear on the devices not specified which are mobile and tv and it will not appear on web browsers.
and what if:
<video:platform relationship=”deny”></video platform>
The video will simply appear on all platforms.
2.Then write the specific platforms that you wanted to allow or deny, there are 3 platform codes : web- for computer browser, mobile for mobile devices and TV for TV browsers. And the tag to be use if you wanted to use 3 platform separate it through spaces.
Example:
<video:platform relationship=”allow”>web tv mobile</video platform>
See those codes above, those are truly simple to learn but for more information you can watch the video below by Googlewebmasterhelp:

Watch out for the next supplement detailing the video country restriction!
Videos are currently most common results in search engines, therefore don’t forget to give clear sitemap for it and don’t hold any bars , make your videos be seen by public.
